American Bitcoin (NASDAQ: ABTC) has purchased 11,298 bitcoin mining ASICs, a hardware acquisition that follows an earnings release where American Bitcoin reported a 22% jump in fourth-quarter revenue to $78.3 million.

The machines add 3.05 EH/s to American Bitcoin’s fleet and have an efficiency rating of 13.5 J/TH. Management expects delivery and deployment through March at Hut 8’s (NASDAQ: HUT) Drumheller site in Alberta, Canada, a leased data center which Hut 8 previously shut down.

Following this deployment, American Bitcoin’s total hashrate will be 28.1 EH/s with an average efficiency of 16.0 J/TH.

“Every decision we make is oriented around maximizing Bitcoin accumulation,” President Matt Prusak stated. “That’s the discipline our shareholders should expect from us.”

American Bitcoin has a dual mandate as a bitcoin miner and bitcoin treasury company. The company’s bitcoin treasury surpassed 6,000 BTC by late February, making American Bitcoin the eighteenth largest public bitcoin treasury globally.

“As Bitcoin matures, the priority is clear: grow American-owned, professionally operated hashrate,” Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer Eric Trump noted. “That’s how we protect the network, drive innovation, and lead the future of Bitcoin in America.”

American Bitcoin functions as a majority-owned subsidiary of Hut 8, and it hosts its ASICs at Hut 8’s data centers across North America. The entity went public in September 2025 following a reverse stock-for-stock merger with Gryphon Digital.

The stock later plunged 39% in early December. This drawdown stemmed from early investor share unlocks tied to a $220.1 million private equity placement executed in June 2025. Trump noted the event allowed early investors to cash in on profits for the first time.
