Bitdeer (NASDAQ: BTDR) has launched a cluster of NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 GPUs for AI workloads in Malaysia, according to a company announcement on Wednesday.

The newly deployed GB200 systems are designed to handle complex tasks such as generative AI and large model training. Bitdeer also disclosed plans to integrate NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 infrastructure in the future to enhance its computing capabilities.

Bitdeer appears to be hosting these GPUs in a third-party data center, as the company does not list a Malaysian site in its current data center portfolio.

At the time of publication, shares of Bitdeer were up 6.4% to $13.59 following the news.

Bitdeer said the news highlights its evolving business model as it expands from bitcoin mining and computing services to offering software solutions. Management described this shift as a move toward “providing full-stack, vertically integrated AI solutions in one cloud.”

Bitdeer currently manages approximately 3 GW of power capacity globally.

Bitdeer’s management commented that its existing bitcoin mining facilities are undergoing conversion to house new AI equipment. The company is converting a 13 MW site in Washington and a 37 MW site in Tennessee into GPU-optimized data centers.

New infrastructure projects include a 570 MW facility in Clarington, Ohio and a 175 MW site in Tydal, Norway. These reserves allow the company to scale its operations rapidly to meet demand.
