Canaan Inc. (CAN) has secured a follow-on purchase order from CleanSpark (CLSK) for its Avalon A1566I immersion-cooling bitcoin miners, according to a press release. The order reinforces the companies’ growing partnership in high-efficiency mining solutions.
Canaan’s U.S. subsidiary will deliver units capable of 249 to 267 TH/s following CleanSpark’s initial November 2024 order of 3,800 A1566I miners averaging 249 TH/s each. The new machines are slated for deployment at CleanSpark’s immersion mining facility in Norcross, Georgia.
CEO Nangeng Zhang added that Canaan has been “rigorously investing in next-generation ASIC technology, with a focus on the North American market, to empower our partners with the most advanced mining capabilities,” noting that wins with major public miners like CleanSpark validate the strength of Canaan’s products and services. Less than two weeks ago, Cipher (CIFR) had placed an order for 1.5 EH/s from Canaan.
