Bitcoin mining manufacturer Canaan (CAN) has entered a purchased agreement to supply approximately 6,840 Avalon A15Pro bitcoin miners to Cipher Mining’s (CIFR) Black Pearl facility in the Q3 2025, with units to be produced at its U.S. and Malaysian manufacturing sites.
Cipher exercised an option announced in June 2024 to secure these A15Pro units, each of which delivers an average hashrate of 221 TH/s at about 16.6 J/TH. The deployment is expected to bring an additional 1.5 EH/s of hashrate to Cipher’s Black Pearl site.
At time of publication, CAN is up 5.8% during pre-market hours.
