CleanSpark (NASDAQ: CLSK) signed a definitive agreement Wednesday to acquire 447 acres in Brazoria County, Texas, to develop an AI data center campus.

CleanSpark shares rose some 6% to $13.32 in pre-market trading following the announcement.

The deal includes a long-term transmission facilities extension agreement that supports an initial 300 MW of load. CleanSpark plans to expand this by an additional 300 MW for a total capacity of 600 MW.

The acquisition marks the second major infrastructure deal for the miner in the greater Houston region as it expands its vies for assets capable of supporting AI and high-performance computing workloads.

The Brazoria site complements CleanSpark’s acquisition of a site in Austin County announced on October 29, 2025. That prior deal secured 271 acres and approval for 285 MW of power on a major fiber backbone.

The company expects to close the transaction in the first quarter of 2026, contingent upon standard utility and property-related approvals.
