Hive will begin construction on the expansion in early 2026, with completion slated for Q3. Once complete, the expansion will bring Hive’s total renewable footprint to 540 MW across Paraguay, Canada, and Sweden.
Executive Chairman Frank Holmes noted that Hive is on track to scaled its Bitcoin operations to 25 EH/s by year-end.
On the AI front, Hive’s BUZZ HPC division is working with the Canadian government on AI cloud and GPU workloads. Through a strategic partnership under Bell’s AI Fabric initiative, BUZZ’s liquid-cooled data centers will integrate with Bell Canada’s national fiber network and data centers.
