Charlie speaks with Brian and Toby, co-founders of OrdinalsBot, a company making significant strides in the Bitcoin space. The conversation, recorded at the Inscribing Nashville event, delves into the origins, growth, and innovative projects of OrdinalsBot. Initially, the company was founded out of necessity in January 2023, when Brian wanted to bring his creative works onto the Bitcoin blockchain. OrdinalsBot was created to simplify this process by offering an easy way to integrate creative projects without technical hurdles, which has been a core ethos for the company.

Brian and Toby explain how OrdinalsBot has grown significantly, expanding its team to 12 members and branching into various services like ordinals, runes, tokens, minting services, and collection launches. The team is deeply committed to being API-first, allowing other developers and users to leverage their technology to create customized solutions. They highlight the company’s role in powering several ecosystems with their API, indicating their influence and reach within the Bitcoin community.

The founders discuss their innovative products, including Token Pay, a payment gateway for runes and other tokens, which is set to launch soon. They also announce plans to introduce a marketplace by the end of the year, integrating all their services into a unified platform. This marketplace aims to enhance user experiences by making Bitcoin transactions and integrations more accessible and streamlined.

Brian and Toby emphasize the importance of community involvement and their consistent presence at in-person events. They attribute much of their success to building strong relationships within the Bitcoin community and fostering a collaborative environment among competitors. This dedication is evident in their active support for industry events and collaborations with notable artists and projects.

Looking ahead, OrdinalsBot has exciting projects lined up, including partnerships with Trevor Jones and the Elvis estate, and hosting an event in London in October. The founders express enthusiasm for the future, driven by their passion for innovation and community building in the Bitcoin space.
